Hey folks, me again. I hope that you are all having a wonderful day and enjoying the mixed arrangements of letters and punctuation that I've put up here.
I come to you today with a request. I know you know that you're out there. Please let me know that you are. I would love to have some more comments on my blog – small reminders that you're out there and that I'm not forgotten.
If you've never left a comment before, don't fret. It's easy. At the bottom of each of my posts there are links for the category of the post and to leave a comment. Just below this post there should some links such as "sierra leone | Comments (x)," where x is the number of comments people have left for the post. Click on the "Comments (x)" link and you will be presented with a form to fill out. Write something small and click the submit button.
Thank you all for checking in on me and for forgiving my grammatical mistakes. It means so much that you are journeying with me in this adventure.
I’m still here, thanks for keeping me up to date with your goings ons in Freetown.
Have you heard of Sorious Samura yet? and his movie/series title Cry Freetown? I saw one of his other movies about Aids in Zambia at school last week, but Cry Freetown was his breakthrough movie. Its kind of a ‘Michael Moore’esque style documentary exposing the problems of Africa.
Cheers,
peter b.
Hey bro,
I’m still here. Still eager to know what’s going on, and still glad you’re updating your blog. Other stuff I’ll save for email.
Dear Matt -
We are here praying for you and also know that my son, Father Ignatius and the other monks in Boston, are praying for you too. They admire what you are doing.
Stay safe and enjoy your journey.
matt –
i do check it regularly – it’s good to read your musings and thoughts and get a glimpse of your day-to-day in Freetown.
hang in there,
ben

Hi Matt. We check every day to see what the latest is. It sounds extremely challenging. I am glad that there are people willing to do what you are doing. We are happy to encourage you. I like hearing about all of the little things about daily life that you have included. Your story about the hard-boiled eggs has done the most to put some of what you are seeing in perspective. We love you!
Hi, Matt! Hope all is going well there in Africa. All is well in good old Dillsboro, IN. I check your blog daily as I do with Beth and Mary and Erik’s blogs. I know you’re doing great things for these people. You have a big heart. Don’t worry about spelling and grammatical errors. I’m a teacher and I still have those problems. Pretty bad, huh? Continue doing God’s work and think of all of us at home waiting for you when you get homesick.
love ya,
Em
Matt — Melinda, Pam and I (the majority remaining in the Green Mile Isle since Brian moved to the south end and Roderick speaks through the wheezing chair) were just discussing the lack of butt in your seat and thought you would enjoy Melinda’s quote: “There are some butts that are better than others.”
Pam also had a nice one this Monday morning: “Can you believe it’s already March 20?” Natalie: “No because it’s only March 13!”
Hang in there!
Matt-
We miss you up here on the 9th floor!!! I have been taking up the slack for the movie references since you left! Take care!!!

Matt –
Sounds like you are living life to the fullest!!! Keep it up Matt! I enjoy reading what you write. I still think you ought to consider becoming a writer on the side. You’re awesome!

What up Matt Dog! Keep living the dream and doing what you have been called to do for this time in your life.

Matt–
Reading often…and will continue to pray for you when I do.

Prentice,
I’ve been reading your blog consistently since you headed to Sierra Leone. I even have it fed into my RSS reader. It’s great to hear how you’re learning and growing, and my only complaint is that there hasn’t been more Larium Madness!
I look forward to getting together and comparing experiences/processing when you get back. I’m just putting the finishing touches on the Sudan DVD right now…

P.S. Long live Sammy Morris!
Matt,
Awesome job. Keep up His work.

You’re the man. Praying for you to continue to be open to God and look for what he is doing instead of just asking him to bless what you’re doing. Love the blogs. Stay Strong.
